The process started with a straightforward notion: could we use all we had learned over the previous seven years and use our network to obtain high-quality ingredients, and could I—Mahsam Raza—create something “new”?

Nawassamb is a journey:
Nawa = New
Assam = Assam Oud Tincture
B = Royal Bengal Oud

You'll find a variety of jasmines wrapped in different tobacco among the ouds, giving them a sensual, spicy, floral, and animalic vibe. It almost seems as though the rose implored me to include its essence into the creation to give the jasmine/tobacco and the myriad of spices hope amid the gloom that hides beneath with the Oud. I couldn't help but add some more florals, and I couldn't help but add rose to this combo. When paired with ylang ylang, rose lends sweetness and brightness to the composition, giving Nawassamb a creamy, almost dark tropical feel.
