Bleu de Dua
Inspiration: Bleu de Chanel Eau de Toilette (Vintage Formulation) by Chanel
We were aware that to properly honour Chanel's fan base and commemorate the release of Bleu de Chanel's 10th anniversary, we had to produce a fragrance that was remarkably similar to the original. Since the launch of the original from 2010, Chanel has released several iterations. Both eau de parfum and a parfum version have been made available in the last ten years. In addition, the original eau de toilette underwent several reformulations that chiseled away the formula until it was reduced to a frail and flimsy representation of itself.
To revive this classic, we managed to acquire a bottle of the original formula and entrust our skilled and IFRA-certified chemists to work their magic. Bleu de Dua, the result, is our take on the classic Bleu de Chanel formula from 2010.
The first whiff of grapefruit and incense will take you back to the previous decade, when contemporary perfumes had enduring force and were unapologetically true to their essence. The base's cedar and vetiver combine to make the ideal office scent. Additionally, we were aware that finding the ideal patchouli and jasmine would be essential to accurately replicating this enduring scent from 2010.
On auction websites, vintage bottles can be purchased for about $400. Why spend so much money when the same scent, using an identical formula can be obtained for less, using the Bleu de Dua formula?
Enjoy nostalgic moments with Bleu De Dua!
